The Sabbath the Mark of YAHUAH

NOT SUNDAY

Historically, Lunar Sabbath keepers believe that the Lunar Sabbath was observed by 1st century Judaism, but was lost some time after the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem. But even if one rejects all the evidence to the contrary, it would seem quite impossible for every Sabbath keeper scattered all throughout the world to simultaneously drop a supposed "Lunar Sabbath," all without a trace of evidence of such a dramatic change. The clear historical record is that the Jews of the first century kept the Sabbath just as we do, on a recurring seven day week. Yahusha was our example.
Scripturally, you can look from Genesis to Revelation, but you will not find a single commandment to keep the "Lunar Sabbath." Just as Yahuah has ensured that His inspired word was not lost in antiquity, He also protected His holy Sabbath. Adam kept it, Noah kept it, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob kept it. Joshua kept it, the righteous judges and kings kept it. The prophets of Yahuah kept it, the returning exiles who were very meticulous about the Sabbath kept it, and we know that Yahusha and His disciples kept it, proving that Yahuah preserved His Sabbath up until the 1st century CE. The same is true today. Yahuah has preserved His word, His Name, and His Sabbath for us today. Let's forsake any teachings that would draw anyone away from the example He set in Genesis chapter 1 and 2.

So if you are a Lunar Sabbath keeper, the obvious question for you is, "If the Jews in the first century kept the Lunar Sabbath, and only later adopted what you call the 'Roman week,' why do the first century Romans keep saying the Jewish Sabbath is on their "day of Saturn (Saturday)?" The obvious answer to the obvious question is that the first century Jews, including Yahusha the Messiah and His disciples, kept the same recurring seven day week as the Romans. It is historical fact that the same week and day sequence exists to this day and has not changed. Yahuah has preserved His holy Sabbath!

Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the YAHUAH. Now why is prophesied in Isaiah that all FLESH will worship before YAHUAH on the SABBATH. The Sabbath a future picture is on what is to come, why not start NOW.

The Sabbath a day of rest is ordained by the Holy one of Israel, he also called this a SIGN between him and his chosen people. To be a True Witness of Yahuah you must obey and Walk in the actual Way of Life. Israel and the Sabbath "Throughout all your generations forever." Notice that Israel represents both houses, Ephraim and Judah.  Lets start to look at scripture where only the blind cannot see. Christianity has change the Sabbath to Sunday and nowhere in scripture has the Father done this. Yes, worship is every day but there is only one Holy day a week call by Yahuah, and that is SABBATH.

Exodus 31:12-18  And the Yahuah spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a Sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Yahuah that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defiled it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Yahuah: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Yahuah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of Elohim.

Hebrews 13:8 Messiah Yahusha the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Matthew 12:8 For the Son of man is Master even of the Sabbath day.

2 Timothy 2:4-5 No one serving as a soldier gets involved in the affairs of this life, in order to please only Him who enlisted him as a soldier. And if anyone competes in a game, he is not Crowned unless he competes according to the rules.

Ezekiel 22:26 (Speaking to the House of Israel) " Her priests have done violence to My teaching and they profane My set-apart matters. They have not distinguished between the set-apart and the profane, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean. And they have hidden their eyes from my Sabbaths and I am profaned in their midst."

Galatians 3:28-29 There is neither Jews nor Greek, there is not slave nor free, there is not male and female, for you are all one in Messiah Yahusha. And if you are of Messiah, you are the seed of Abraham, and heirs according to Promise. Is funny how they take this scripture out of contest for what they want to teach.

Joshua 24:14 Now therefore fear the Yahuah, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Yahuah. ! And if it seems evil in your eyes to serve Yahuah, choose for yourselves this day whom you are going to serve, whether the mighty ones whom your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the mighty ones of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But I, and my house, we serve Yahuah. The Israel of Yahuah is characterized by observing the Sabbath. It is a sign forever between Yahuah and His people. Judah, whose responsibility and role it was to preserve and uplift the Torah (as opposed to Ephraim/Israel's responsibility to first receive the message of Messiah and uphold the message of grace – Torah and Grace are the "Power Twins" of Yahuah) has consistently and verifiably observed Saturday as the 7th day Sabbath, thereby providing us with credible, historical testimony that Saturday is the 7th day of the week. Shabbat observance – the guarding of the 7th Day Sabbath – is the ultimate sign of distinction and set-apartness for the followers of Yahuah, the Bride of Messiah Yahusha. In the Gospel of Luke alone, Shabbat is mentioned 21 times. Luke was the only non-Jewish disciple and he saw it important enough to refer to Shabbat 21 times in Luke and 8 times in Act.

Genesis 2:3 And Yahuah blessed the seventh day, and Sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which Elohim created and made.

Exodus 31:16-17 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.  It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Yahuah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Sunday is the ancient & traditional day of worship of the sun god – Tammuz, Mithras, Baal. Represents the Roman Empire Introduced by Constantine at Council of Nicea, 325 AD Called "the Lord's Day" – the word "lord" is an English translation for Baal!

These 2 forms of Worship are NOT Compatible

"You have no other mighty ones against My face. … You do not bring the Name of Yahuah to naught …Remember the Sabbath Day, to set it apart." Ex. 20: 3-7-8

Isaiah 52: 11-12"Turn aside! Turn aside! Come out from there, touch not the Unclean. Come out from her midst, be Clean, you who bear the Vessels of Yahuah. For you shall not come out in haste, nor go in flight. For Yahuah is going before you and the Elohim of Israel is your rear guard.

2 Corinthians 6:16-18 And what union has the Dwelling Place of Elohim with idols? For you are a Dwelling Place of the living Elohim, as Elohim has said, `I shall dwell in them and walk among them, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.' Therefore, `Come out from among them and be separate, says Yahuah, and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive you. And I shall be a Father to you and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, says Yahuah the Almighty. " Revelation 18:4 (speaking of Babel the great) "And I heard another voice from the heaven saying, `Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins and lest you receive of her plagues."

How did Yahusha and the Talmidim Observe Sabbath?

Luke 4:16-31"And He came to Natsareth, where He had been brought up. And according to His practice, He went into the congregation on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. ""And He came down to Kephar Nahum, a City of Galil, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths. " Read Luke 4:31-40: All of these events occurred on the Sabbath Day. Yahusha taught, rebuked a demon, and rebuked an inflammation in Shimon's mother, healing her. She immediately arose and served Yahusha and Histalmidim before the setting of the sun and the end of the Sabbath day.

Read Luke 13:10-17: Here we see Yahusha teaching and releasing a woman from the bondage of a weakening spirit.  In Hebraic teaching, the Shabbat is a prophetic picture of the Messianic Age – "A day is as a thousand years with Yahuah." Hebrews 4 tells us that Messiah is our Sabbath-rest. We will enter into that ultimate Shabbat with His return for during the Millennial Age. Yahusha healed mainly on Shabbat and taught on Shabbat – this is prophetic of His ministry during the Millennial Age, when we will minister with Him as a Kingdom of Priests. The New Covenant Scriptures reveal Yahusha's miracles and healings of major proportion occurred on the Sabbath! Shabbat is a foretaste of the Days of Messiah. Rather than rescind the Sabbath, Yahusha's testimony in the New Covenant Scriptures show it to be a time of joy, a feast, a time of service to one another, of liberation – making people whole, and for healing in accordance with the Word of Yahuah and the testimony of Yahusha. Yahusha put the heart of the Father back into Shabbat. Man and man-made doctrines had made the Shabbat a burden putting Yahuah's people into bondage to many rules and regulations designed by man to prevent the breaking of the Sabbath but resulting in legalism. The religious system had put so many "Don'ts!" on Shabbat that it was no longer a joy, a delight, a time of feasting, restoration and liberation. Yahusha reinstitutes the Spirit of the Torah and removes the "Letter of Torah" as interpreted and enforced by the religious system – understood by Messianic Rabbis to be the Babel the great referred to in Revelation. In the Apostle Shaul's words, "the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual:  If we walk in the spirit of Yahusha we will be obeying and walking in Torah. We should also note that the Scriptures refer to only ONE Spirit in reference to the Kingdom of Yahuah and that is the Holy Spirit (Ruach haKodesh), the Set-apart Spirit of Yahuah Elohim, which embodies both the Father and the Son. The Spirit is part of the Echad (multiple entities in one unity) nature of Yahuah, as expressed in the Shema – Deut. 6:4. Torah observance as led by the Spirit of Yahuah in our lives provides the strong roots in the good soil of Yahuah's Blueprint for life that then will, by the Ruach haKodesh, bring forth the fruits of the Ruach: love, mercy, joy, peace, compassion, long-suffering, and all good things! Must walk in the Spirit. Read Matthew 12:1-13:53 (all occurring on one Sabbath Day)

Luke 23:54-56 "And it was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was approaching. And the women who had come with Him from Galil followed after, and saw the tomb and how His body was laid. And having returned, they prepared spices and perfumes. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the command."

John 5:8-9 "Yahusha said to him, `Rise, take up your bed and walk. And immediately the man became well, and he took up his bed and was walking. Now it was Sabbath on that day."

John 9:16-17 "And because of this, the Yehudim persecuted Yahusha, and were seeking to kill Him, because He was doing these healings on the Sabbath. But Yahusha answered them, `My Father works until now, and I work. '"The above verse has been used as justification for working on Shabbat, however, it should be noted that was Yahusha is referring to here is the REDEMPTIVE WORK of Yahuah. The CREATIVE WORK of Yahuah was completed in the six days of creation, as evidenced in Genesis 1-2- and Yahuah proclaimed His creative work good and He rested from it. His Redemptive Work continues to this day and until the return of Messiah Yahusha. Yahusha proclaimed the completion of His supreme act of redemption when He cried out "It is finished" from the execution stake. Now, with Yahusha seated as the Right Hand of the Father, interceding for us and the Ruach haKodesh of the Father and the Son indwelling us (John. 14:23 2Cor. 3:17), He continues that on-going redemptive work through His people until He comes.

Hebrews 4:4-5 "For somewhere He has said thus about the seventh day, `And Elohim rested on the seventh day from all His works,' and in this again, `If they shall enter into My rest (Sabbaths)" So there remains a Sabbath-keeping for the people of Elohim. vs. 9 "Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest (Sabbaths), lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience." vs. 11

Acts 13: 14, 43-44 Note: Antioch was not a Jewish city. But passing through from Perge, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the congregation on the Sabbath day and sat down. And when the meeting of the congregation had broken up, many of the Yehudim and of the worshipping converts followed Sha'ul and Barnabah, who, speaking to them, were urging them to continue in the favour of Elohim. And on the next Sabbath almost all the city came together to hear the Word of Elohim.

Acts 18:4 (in the Greek city of Corinth) "And he was reasoning in the congregation every Sabbath, and won over both Yehudim-(Jews) and Greeks." Matthew 24:20 (Yahusha speaking of the Latter Days) "And pray that your flight does not take place in winter or on the Sabbath" Yahusha expects believers to be keeping the 7th day Sabbath at His return.

Proverbs 30:6 "Do not add to His Words, lest He reprove you,and you be found to be a liar. John 6:63"It is the Spirit that gives life, the flesh does not profit at all. The words that I speak to you are Spirit and are life. "As believers in Yahusha, in Yahuah Elohim, we are to be Brainwashed –We are to wash our brains from all wrong doctrine and from conformity to this world, and we are to walk in the Spirit by the Word of Yahuah, who is Yahusha Messiah. He is the Word of Yahuah incarnate, by His death and resurrection we have the Spirit of the Father and the Son living within us to give revelation to His Word and to enable us to obey it.

Ephesians 5:25-26 Messiah did love the assembly and gave Himself for it, in order to set it apart and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word. John 7:37-38 If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me, and let him who believes in Me drink. As the Scripture said, out of His innermost shall flow rivers of living water. John 14:23Yahusha answered him, If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with Him. Exodus 5:11-13You do not bring the Name of Yahuah your Elohim to naught, for Yahuah does not leave him unpunished who brings His Name to naught. Guard the Sabbath day, to set it apart as Yahuah your Elohim commanded you. Six days you labour and shall do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath. Many believe Scriptures teach neither expressly nor by implication that the Sabbath is to be observed today. Others subscribe to the proposition that the Sabbath (the seventh day of the week) is to be observed today as it was in Moses' time: By resting from our labors. By assembling for worship. If the Scriptures are indeed true, then we must at once conclude the Sabbath is to be observed today, at least by Israel, as indicated by Scripture: Remember what scripture says there is now Jew of Gentile in the Messiah. Exodus 31:12 And the Yahuah spake unto Moses, saying, Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Yahuah that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. The Sabbath is to be observed  As a perpetual covenant, Throughout Israel's generations, As a sign for ever.

How long is forever? How long is perpetual? Are the people of Israel still having generations today? Indeed they are. Therefore the Sabbath should be observed today, at least by Israel. True, most Americans are not Jewish, so someone will ask why it is necessary for Gentiles to observe the Sabbath. None other than the  Apostle Paul explained: Ephesians 2:11-13 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
That at that time ye were without Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without Elohim in the world: But now in Messiah Yahusha ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Messiah. We were once aliens; strangers to the covenants of promise. Now, however, we have been brought near. Near to whom? To Yahuah, the Mighty Creator. How? By joining the commonwealth of Israel. And how is this done? By the blood of the Messiah (Yahusha), who is Israel's Number One Citizen. If the Savior accepts us, we are indeed members of Israel's commonwealth. Once we are members of this commonwealth (by faith, repentance, confession and baptism), we are no longer strangers to the covenants of promise made to Israel. Ephesians 2:19-20 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of Elohim; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Yahusha Messiah himself being the chief corner stone; Some believe the "household of Yahuah" is the assembly of the saints. It is true that we, the saints, are included, but the "household" refers especially to Israel; the commonwealth of Israel. Paul spoke of apostles, prophets, and Yahusha the Messiah. Too many people forget that the apostles were Jewish, the prophets were Jewish, and Yahusha himself was Jewish. In addition to this, all the early believers in Yahusha were Jewish. Therefore when Paul wrote that the believing Gentiles are now fellow citizens "with the saints," he identified "the saints" as the commonwealth of Israel. By baptism into Yahusha, we are adopted into this commonwealth and become a part of the Commonwealth by our faith in Yahusha. Please keep in mind that no covenants of promise (except the rainbow) have been made with the Gentiles. All covenants of promise have been made with and through Israel, including those made with Abraham. Scriptures emphasize this in the following words: Romans 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the LAW, and the service of Elohim, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Messiah came, who is over all, Elohim blessed for ever. Amen. This is a very powerful statement. To Israel belongs the Messiah. Let me ask: Is there anything of eternal value which can be added? Nothing. Everything of lasting value is included. To Israel belongs everything, including the Messiah. To the Gentiles, nothing; except as we draw near to Yahuah by the blood of the Messiah. Only then do we become eligible to be partakers with Israel of the blessings and promises made to Abraham and the descendants of Isaac (Rom. 9:7; Gal. 3:29). Since we must join the Commonwealth of Israel in order to be recipients of Yahuah's blessings (his everlasting promises made to Abraham and to Israel) then the requirements stated in Exodus 31:16,17 apply to us as well as to the native born Israelites. The Sabbath is to be observed for ever by Gentiles as well as by the Jewish people. Furthermore, the Sabbath is a sign: That Yahuah sanctifies us, indicating we belong to Him. And that Yahuah created the heavens and the earth in six days. Keeping the Sabbath shows our faith in Yahuah, the Creator, rather than in evolution as the Cause for everything which exists. But someone responds, "I am unconvinced. The Sabbath was made only for the Jews." But keep in mind, Yahusha the Messiah was well qualified to instruct us. He said the Sabbath was made for man (Mk. 2:27). Does man include only the Jew? All must agree that man includes each and every nationality of people. When the Sabbath was made for man, there was only one man on earth - Adam. Was Adam a Jew? All will agree that he was not. This was approximately 2,500 years before the first Jew was born. This seems to indicate the Sabbath was made for man, including all the human race, Adam being our first representative. This agrees with the words of Yahuah to Ezekiel the prophet:

Ezekiel 20:11, 12, 18-21"I gave them my statutes and showed them my ordinances, by whose observance man shall live. Moreover I gave them my Sabbaths, as a sign between me and them, that they might know that I, Yahuah, sanc-tify them".

Some sincere people have objected to keeping the Sabbath because they feel this is "going back under the old covenant." Let me point out that the Sabbath was given to man when he had lived less than 24 hours, before sin and death entered the world, therefore this was long before the old covenant was given. The Sabbath and its blessings predate the old covenant, so the Sabbath stands separate and apart from the old covenant. Yes, the Sabbath was given on the seventh day of a creation week, as a blessing to all mankind.

Did Yahusha the Messiah observe the Sabbath? Yes. It was his custom to do so (Luke. 4:16). Scripture instructs us to "follow in his steps" (1 Pet. 2:20,21).

Did the Apostle Paul observe the seventh day Sabbath? Yes. It was his custom to do so, READ the following scriptures (Acts 17:2,3; 18:1-4 Acts 18:11 Acts 19:8-10 Acts 13:13,14,42).

If the Sabbath was no longer to be kept, never was there a better time for the Apostle Paul to announce to the people: "Dear friends and brethren, there is no need to wait until next Sabbath to hear again the message of salvation. Tomorrow, Sunday, the first day of the week, come to the true church down the street where I'll be preaching. There you will again hear the Good News! We as true believers in the Messiah are no longer obligated to keep the seventh day Sabbath. Instead, we must keep Sunday, the first day of the week. Come tomorrow, and learn all about it!" Please notice: Paul did not say this. Instead, he and all the people waited until the next Sabbath, at which time Paul again lectured (Acts 13: 44). During the six working days between those two Sabbaths, Paul evidently worked with his hands so that he could provide for himself and his party (Acts 18:1-3; 20:33-35). The book of Acts is a biography of Paul and the other apostles. If, as some believe, the Apostle Paul worshiped on the first day of the week, does it not seem strange that Luke never once reported this in the history noted above? Paul was at Corinth for almost two years, even so there is only silence (silence) about Paul's worship on the first day. Again, he was at Ephesus for more than two years. Again, we have no report of 1st day worship. Instead, in every community, he attended the synagogue service (always on the Sabbath) never on the 1st day. Does this indicate Sabbath observance? Indeed yes.

The Law is NOT ABOLISHED

Scriptures reveal that the law of Yahuah had not been abolished in Paul's day, which means it is still in force today. The Sabbath, then, being a part of this law, is also binding upon the believers at the present time. Of the many Scriptures available, only a few are listed here, some from the writings of Paul. Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Elohim forbid: yea, we establish the law. Romans 7:1-20 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?  Wherefore the law is Holy, and the Commandment Holy, and just, and good. Was then that which is good made death unto me? Elohim forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.  If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. Peter I 1:25 But the word of the Yahuah endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our Yahuah shall stand for ever. James 4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? Isaiah 33:22 For the Yahuah is our judge, the ELOHIM is our lawgiver, the Yahuah is our king; he will save us. Let us at this time make a comparison between these two days: the Sabbath, and the first day of the week. The First Day of the Week is mentioned only 9 times in all the Bible: once in the Old Testament (Gen. 1:5), and eight times in the New Testament. Now to review these 8 Scriptures: I Corinthians 16:2 The first day of the week, a day for tending to business. Every first day the Corinthians were instructed to reckon their income for the previous week, then collect and store some of it until Paul's arrival, to later be sent to the poor saints at Jerusalem. The collections were to be made ready in advance, "that no gatherings be made when I come." The "gatherings" refer to the goods they planned to send, not to the people. He planned to stay with them for months, but no gatherings once he arrived (I Cor. 16:2,6). No worship service is mentioned.

Paul's "orders" in I Cor. 16:1 sound very commanding, as if he were giving a lasting ordinance, but he was very secure in his second letter to the Corinthians. (Please consult chapters eight and nine).

Acts 20:7
This is history of a special gathering on an unusual occasion: Paul's last night with the brethren at Troas, at which time they assembled for a banquet on the night following the Sabbath. After preaching all night, Paul left Troas at daybreak on the first day of the week and walked 30 miles to Assos (Acts 20:10-14). This indicates he did not recognize the 1st day of the week as a day of rest and worship Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2,9; Luke 24:1; John. 20:1,19. These Scriptures tell of the exciting things which happened on the day after Yahusha arose from the grave. He arose late on the Sabbath, just before sunset (Matthew 28:1). Ask for more information. The first day of the week is mentioned eight times in the New Testament, and never once designated as the day of rest and worship.

The Sabbath

The Sabbath day is mentioned in the New Testament about 59 times, always as a special day. An impressive Scripture which states that believers are to keep the Sabbath is as follows: "So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of Yahuah; for whoever enters Yahuah's rest also ceases from his labors as Yahuah did from his" (Heb. 4:9,10 RSV). Two Sabbath rests are spoken of here. Verse 9 speaks of our hope, the future rest. Verse 10 tells what our custom should be today. If we expect to enter the future rest (verse 9), we must rest today as Yahuah rested (verse 10). When did he rest? On the seventh day (Gen. 2:1-3). At least 26 English versions agree that we should rest as did the Creator, on the seventh day. It is interesting to note that most if not all these translators worshiped on the first day. Even so, they tell us to rest on the seventh day. Since this is contrary to their own religious customs, we can with full confidence accept their translation of Hebrews 4:9-10 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of Elohim. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as Elohim did from his.

John I 3:4-5 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.  And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Psalms 19:9-11 The fear of the Yahuah is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Yahuah are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. Psalms 119:72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. Ezekiel 20:10-13 Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness. And I gave them my statutes, and showed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them. Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Yahuah that sanctify them. But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my Sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them. Ezekiel 20:21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my Sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

Three times in these verses the Mighty Yahuah declares that man should live by his laws; for our good. The Sabbath especially is mentioned because of its great importance. The profaning of the Sabbath is the only named sin in the verses just quoted. Since MAN, not just the Jew, must observe Yahuah's statues and ordinances, does this not make the Sabbath ordinance of universal importance?

The Sabbath was given to man, namely Adam, your ancestor and mine; long before there were any Jews. This indicates the Sabbath ordinance applies to Israel and to all mankind, including the Gentiles: a universal ordinance. Isaiah 66:22-23 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Yahuah, so shall your seed and your name remain.  And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Yahuah.

All flesh (Gentile as well as Jewish) will worship the Creator each and every Sabbath. This speaks of the future, indicating a universal application of the Sabbath ordinance. Isaiah 56:2-7 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the Sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Yahuah, speak, saying, The Yahuah hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.  For thus saith the Yahuah unto the eunuchs that keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Yahuah, to serve him, and to love the name of the Yahuah, to be his servants, every one that Keepeth the Sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Peoples (plural). In both Hebrew and English, peoples is a plural word, indicating citizens of Israel AND other nations as well: foreign nationalities who gladly accept the Mighty One of Israel, and who love his Sabbaths; a universal blessing. Perhaps the blessings extended in Isaiah 56 explain why the redeemed will one day sing "The Song of Moses," as well as "The Song of the Lamb" (Rev. 15:3).

Exodus 20:8-11"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahuah your Mighty One; in it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your man servant, or your maidservant, or your cattle, or the sojourner who is within your gates; FOR in six days Yahuah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore Yahuah blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it" Remember the Sabbath day as a memorial of his creation. Are Gentiles a part of Yahuah's creation? Are we to believe the Creator wants Israel to remember a six day creation, but has no desire for other nationalities to remember this? I cannot believe it.

The Sabbath was given to man (kind) in the very beginning as a universal ordinance, a blessing, a weekly reminder of the Creator's great work in only six days. According to the passage above (and in Deut. 5:13,14), even the cattle were to rest on the Sabbath. This would be the work stock, of course; the oxen and the donkeys which pulled the plow. Were they Jewish? Check with any biologist and you will find that these creatures come from a different blood line than does the Jew, yet they were privileged to rest on the seventh day. Are we to believe our heavenly Father is more concerned about the welfare of animals than with that of the Gentile?

In view of the high regard which Yahusha held for the law of his Father, it is amazing that many Pharisees of his day, and many today, believe (d) that he came to abolish his Father's law, including the Sabbath commandment. He was often accused of breaking the law of Moses (that is, Yahuah's law). To those who falsely accused him, Yahusha said, Matthew 5:17-19 Think not that I am come to abolish the Law ="Torah" and the prophets; I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill (Establish) them. ...Whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. If the Church and the Kingdom are one and the same, as some believe, then those in the Church should be teaching observance of the law, including the Sabbath. This is the way to become great in the Kingdom. Want to be least in the Kingdom of heaven? Then do not teach the Sabbath and the Law of Yahuah.

The Savior's own testimony was that he upheld the law. Should we accept his testimony, or that of his accusers? Yahusha fulfilled the law, which means he complied with its every precept. We too must fulfill the law (Rom. 8:4). Again, do you wish to be great in the kingdom of heaven? Then teach and keep the commandments of Yahuah. The Sabbath ordinance is one of those commandments.

On one occasion someone asked a minister, "Do you think your little insignificant group of Sabbath keepers can be right and millions in the Christian world be wrong about the day of worship?" The reply: "On one side (for first day worship) there are popes, cardinals, priests, prelates, and the Protestants who follow them, often in complete sincerity. "On the other side (for the seventh day worship) are millions who keep the Sabbath. To name only a few on our team, there is Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Moses, Ruth, David, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Job, Ezekiel, Daniel, John the Baptist, the twelve apostles, Mary the Messiah's mother, the whole apostolic assembly and, towering above all stands Yahusha the Messiah, and the Creator himself - Yahuah, the Most High El. Need to join in!" Another Consideration II Timothy. 3:16 "All Scripture given by inspiration of Yahuah is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness ..." In speaking of "Scriptures" Paul did not refer to New Testament writings, but to the Old Testament; the writings of Moses, the Psalms, and the prophets. These teach righteousness and correct doctrine. We can now better understand the angel's encouraging message when he said to John: Revelation 14:12 "Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the COMMANDMENTS of Yahuah AND the faith of Yahusha". To have faith in Yahusha is not enough. We must also keep the Father's commandments. The Sabbath command is one of the lively oracles of Yahuah, a universal ordinance.

It can be ASSUMED, from what IS NOT STATED in Acts 20:7, that the disciples met on the morning of the first day of the week, as is the custom today, and remained in fellowship throughout the day. We can assume this, even though there is no command to observe the first day of the week as a special day. On the other hand, there are a number of Scriptures in which the weekly Sabbath is commanded to be observed as a day of rest and worship. Several versions of the Scriptures state that the Troas meeting was on the Sabbath, or "Saturday night." Why? Because the Greek New Testament says this meeting occurred "on one of the Sabbaths." The word is one, a cardinal number; not protos, an ordinal number meaning first. Here is a partial list of those versions which indicate Acts 20:7 occurred on Sabbath, or Saturday night.

Above, we assumed a meeting on Sunday morning. Since the Greek N.T. tells us this meeting was on "one of the Sabbaths," and continued into the night, it is more reasonable to assume the disciples met for worship, not on Sunday morning, but on Sabbath morning (in obedience to the fourth commandment), and continued in fellowship throughout the day and into the night - Saturday night.

Indications are, the saints dispersed at daybreak (Sunday morning), at which time Paul began his 30 mile walk to the city of Assos where he boarded the ship. The food eaten by the disciples was not the Communion Service, indicated by the fact that Paul did not eat with the others, but ate separately at a later time. Actually, it was after the days of unleavened bread that they left Philippi and came to Troas (Acts 20:6), therefore they had already observed Passover; that is, the Communion Service. Following the worship service on the Sabbath, the disciples at Troas evidently held a banquet in Paul's honor. The following considerations should be carefully noted: No where in the Bible are we commanded to keep holy the first day of the week. No where in the Bible are we commanded to observe the Communion on the first day of the week. Instead, there is the example of the Last Supper to be observed once each year at Passover. Mt. 26:26; Lk. 22:20 Truly, "It is the duty of the people of Elohim to keep the Sabbath" (Heb. 4:9,10 The Scriptural evidence given above indicates the Sabbath (the seventh day of the week) is to be observed today. It is a Universal ordinance. Halleluyah!

A True Witness

Genesis 31:44 And now, come, let us make a covenant, I and thou; and let it be a witness between me and thee. Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Deuteronomy 4:26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye pass over the Jordan to possess it: ye shall not prolong your days on it, but shall be utterly destroyed. Deuteronomy 17:6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is to die be put to death: he shall not be put to death at the mouth of one witness. Deuteronomy 31:19 And now, write ye this song, and teach it to the children of Israel; put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel. Deuteronomy 31:26 Take this book of the law, and put it at the side of the ark of the covenant of YAHUAH your ELOHIM, that it may be there for a  witness against thee; Joshua 22:27 but to be a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, that we might do service to YAHUAH before him with our burnt-offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace-offerings; that your children may not say to our children in future, Ye have no portion in Yahuah. Proverbs 14:25 A true witness delivereth souls; but deceit uttereth lies. Isaiah 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith Yahuah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I [am] HE: before me there was no ELOHIM formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isaiah 43:11 I, I [am] Yahuah; and besides me there is no Savior. Lamentations 2:13 What shall I take to witness for thee? what shall I liken unto thee, daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, virgin daughter of Zion? For thy ruin is great as the sea: who will heal thee?

Lamentations 2:14 Thy prophets have seen vanity and folly for thee; and they have not revealed thine Iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee burdens of falsehood and causes of expulsion. John 7:7 The world cannot hate you, but me it hates, because I bear witness concerning it that its works are evil. John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes forth from with the Father, *he* shall bear witness concerning me;

John 15:27 and ye too bear witness, because ye are with me from [the] beginning. Acts 1:8 but ye will receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you, and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 2:32 This Yahusha has ELOHIM raised up, whereof all *we* are witnesses. Acts 5:32 And *we* are [his] witnesses of these things, and the Holy Spirit also, which ELOHIM has given to those that obey him. Acts 10:39 *We* also [are] witness  of all things which he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem; whom they also slew, having hanged him on a cross. Acts 10:43 To him all the prophets bear witness that every one that believes on him will receive through his name remission of sins. Acts 15:8 And the heart-knowing ELOHIM bore them witness , giving [them] the Holy Spirit as to us also, Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself bears witness  with our spirit, that we are children of ELOHIM. Romans 4:13-18 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the LAW, but through the righteousness of faith. For if they which are of the LAW be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even Elohim, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many Nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. Romans 9:6-9 Not as though the word of Elohim hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of Elohim: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son. Romans 10:2 For I bear them witness that they have zeal for ELOHIM, but not according to knowledge. Galatians 5:3 And I witness again to every man [who is] circumcised, that he is debtor to do the whole law. Psalms 89:37 It shall be established for ever as the MOON, and the witness  in the SHY is firm. Selah. Hebrews 12:1 Let *us* also therefore, having so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, laying aside every weight, and sin which so easily entangles us, run with endurance the race that lies before us, Revelation 12:10 And I heard a great voice in the heaven saying, Now is come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our Yahuah, and the authority of his MESSIAH; for the accuser of our brethren has been cast out, who accused them before our Yahuah day and night: Hebrews 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of [the] heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus, Timothy I 2:5 For ELOHIM is one, and [the] mediator of ELOHIM and men one, [the] man MESSIAH Yahusha, Revelation 3:14 And to the angel of the assembly in Laodicea write: These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of ELOHIM:Colossians 2:16-17 Let no man therefore judge you in MEAT, or in DRINK, or in respect of an HOLYDAY, or of the NEW moon, or of the SABBATH DAYS: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is OF THE MESSIAH. Acts 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, MASTER, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? Romans 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of YAHUAH, and the promises; Romans 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Messiah came, who is over all, Elohim blessed for ever. Amen. Romans 9:6 Not as though the word of Elohim hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Romans 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. Romans 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. Romans 9:9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son. Romans 9:10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; Romans 9:11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of Elohim according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) Romans 9:12-24 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with Elohim? Elohim forbid. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of Elohim that showeth mercy. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might show my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Romans 9:19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against Elohim? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if Elohimod, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? Romans 9:25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

Conclusion

Fellow believers listen carefully. Let us not nullify the importance of obeying Yahuah, his commands and precepts, by our failures as men. We should find ourselves continuing to draw closer to the Father through love. Loving the Father means to obey his commands and just because we as mere men make mistakes, or fall short of His glory, we should not bring to nothing His holy commands. Can we as merely men say to who created us, "the importance of your commands is nullified because we are sinful." As men we meet many challenges, some we overcome and some we fall short. Because we fall short we should not stop trying to obey Yahuah. His grace is for our short comings, not an excuse to stop running the race. If I commit a sin, should I then say that not obeying the law is good, no, the commands and precepts of Yahuah are good. As we strive for His glory we should proclaim his holy word as truth, regardless of the imperfections of man.

Let me close with a few words of encouragement. In life we have to run the race set before us. The Bible is clear on obeying the Sabbath, and the Sabbath is from Friday sundown until Saturday sundown. It is almost impossible for man to keep the Sabbath, especially since the world systems revolve around Sunday.
This is where grace comes in. We must do all that we can to try to follow and achieve holy living though the Torah. Just remember man cannot change the Word of Yahuah we must do all we can as men and only then can your conscious begin to be clear.  The bodies that we have now are full of sin, we yearn for his coming back to be renewed and put in incorruptible bodies. Corinthians I 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth. Acts 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Master Yahusha Messiah we shall be saved, even as they. Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Yahusha Messiah: Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? Elohim forbid. This is what this passage is talking when he gives you more grace, he expects us to do the best we can. But just remember, to purposely sin is not what this passage is talking about. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: Romans 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? Elohim forbid. Romans 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
Corinthians II 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Messiah  may rest upon me.
Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of YAHUAH, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, YAHUAH  resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. So humble your self before the Almighty one of Israel and keep the Sabbath the best Way you can. His grace is sufficient. There is a big difference in following the Truth or coming short, that in following a LIE, so at least honor YAHUAH and learn to Remember the SABBATH day, to keep it SET APART.

Wake up ! Before its to Late and you will never see the TRUTH

Be a True Witness and Obey the Sabbath the best Way you can.
